Daily Boarding Prices
1 Jack Russell size dog. $20/day. * After 4 weeks* 10% discount.
2 or more Jack Russell size dogs. $18/day/Dog.
* You will be required to pay a 50% deposit, when you drop of your dog. *
If you have to cancel please inform us as soon as possible. We can fill a vacancy but not make one.
Bring heart worm pills for extended stays. If your dog is on monthly Heartworm medication wormers or other medication, please bring the required dose. Advise Us if you think your dog has fleas. We will treat him as soon as he arrives.
What to bring
Please bring your dogs Jacket and a warm Blanket. A plastic toy is also good for the dog. Remember we will not take responsibility for any damage to your dogs belongings. Please mark your dogs belongings with its name.
How You can Help
How you can help to maximize your dogs enjoyment during his holiday at Sunset Kennels.
1. Arrive early, at least before sundown so your dog can become accustomed to his surrounds while there is still daylight.
2. Don't feed your Jack before you come. We will feed him so he feels more at home, and goes to bed with a full belly. Don't feed him the contents of the fridge just to empty it without waste.
Diet
6. Advise us if you dog requires a special diet, or medication. Medication should be labeled with his name and yours.
8. Bring his portable kennel if you like but don't get carried away.
This is a typical Airways crate that makes an ideal bed for Jacks. A rug over the top in winter to block the air holes will make it a snug, safe place to sleep. It is also a very safe way to transport your dog in the car.

Pickup and Delivery
We do pick up dogs from the airport for those people that fly in from the bush, leave their dog in Perth and fly on to their holiday destination. There is a charge for this service. Generally we do not provide a pickup service for the metro area.
Sunset Kennels is dedicated to boarding Jack Russells, and any other small breeds like Fox Terriers, Tenterfields and any other small dogs or terriers. It would not be financially possible to run a kennel property with only one breed on your books. To keep the cost down we have to except other small breed types.
Feed
We only use Quality products for our boarders that don't have a special diet. If you dog is dieting for any special reason please let us know and we will accommodate you. We feed just before sundown, to minimize fly strike on your dogs food. Puppies are catered for in their own special way up until they are 12 months old.
Bedding
We supply a trampoline style Hessian bed for you dogs comfort. The sleeping area is protected by a breeze wall to keep your dog warm in winter. We supply a warm blanket, but if you wish to bring along your own, please don't hesitate. Some people bring cane and other types of beds but please realize that we can not be responsible for any damage to these items.
Exercise
Your dog will be free exercised several times a day. The amount of times will depend on the weather, the current population of boarders and your dog. We do not exercise dogs in the rain, or when the temperature is above 35 Deg C. During the holiday seasons when there is a large population boarding, your dog will take it in turn with everyone else, to run free on the grassed areas.
